The material we are seeking is Pearlitic CrMo cast steel tothe following specification. %C 0.6 ~ 0.8 %Si 0.75 max %P 0.05 max %S 0.03 max %Ni 0.3 max %Cr 2.0 ~ 2.4 %Mo 0.2 ~ 0.4 %Cu 0.25 max %Al 0.05 max %Fe balance Condition is normalised and tempered. Hardness range is 33~42 HRC with the target 37 HRC. Castings will be generally in the 15 to 35kg range.Production will need to be by some form of no-bake hard sand moulding.
